And so, we wait
Despite the fact that Frank Ocean has been performing new songs here and there over the past few months, we learn today that he isn’t planning to release a new album of material until Summer of next year. Frank was asked by a fan when we can expect to get new stuff from him and he responded quickly and honestly. Unfortunately for us, Summer 2014 is pretty far away right now but at least we have something to look forward to. And so, we will have to wait until “Summer comes round again” for a new Frank Ocean album. You may recall that Frank had to cancel his Australian tour in July due to injured vocal chords so I suppose it’s possible that that injury might have something to do with the delay in releasing new music. But, then again, Ocean is a thoughtful musician and it’s just as likely that he wants to take a much time as possible to put together the album he wants to release. Even tho next Summer feels like a lifetime away, I fear the time will fly by faster than we might like so … maybe the wait won’t be so bad after all.
