A bright and ambitious Business Development Manager / Sales Professional is now required to join the Guru team. Read on?

Founded in 2002, Guru use the latest recruitment methods to get vacancies noticed. With clients that include: Lastminute.com, OpenTable, Cancer Research and McCann Manchester (to name just a few), we help them reach the best talent through our expert understanding of job boards, CV databases, community targeting and social networks. Due to ongoing expansion we are now seeking a Business Development Manager / Sales Professional to take up a new role within the business, driving sales and our presence at the forefront of our industry.

Joining within a New Business capacity you will work at the frontline of what we do, introducing our service to new clients, generating leads, converting sales and hitting targets. In more detail you will:

  • Work with the Marketing Director to establish new sales initiatives and lead gen activities.
  • Utilise our existing database of key industry names to build your sales pipeline.
  • Network with current clients to maximise sales.
  • Follow up warm leads and manage all new business enquiries that come into the company.
  • Attend key industry events, making the most of networking opportunities.
  • Arrange client meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Introduce our service to new clients through cold calling.
  • Update and manage the CRM sales database.
  • Build a solid platform for the growth of the sales team.

To qualify? You should be a Business Development Manager / Sales Professional with:

  • A proven sales record gained within online recruitment, advertising or recruitment arenas.
  • An excellent understanding of job board advertising and candidate attraction methods.
  • Experience of selling to HR managers and senior managers within SMEs and brand names.
  • Excellent communication skills on the phone, in writing and face to face.
  • The ability to work as part of a close knit team and work on own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest and passion about the future development of recruitment industry.
  • A little black book.
